Chapter Seven - Conclusion In this concluding chapter of the thesis, the methodological design of the study will first be reviewed. For example, the purpose of the pre- and post-tests will be considered in relation to the field-based intervention activities. Thereafter, each of the four research questions that have driven this design will be reconsidered, in light of the results of the data analysis drawn from Chapters Four, Five and Six. Recommendations for practitioners in the geography classroom will be made, particularly with regard the use of cooperative learning strategies and the teaching of map-reading skills. The chapter concludes with a tentative discussion of some possible areas for further research in the field of spatial cognition. <- 6 Multiple Interpretations and Pre- / Misconceptions: the Case of Team 'Jurong East' -> 7.1 Overview of Design & Summary of Primary Findings |
