Chapter Five - Comparison of Two Specific Cases at the Same Field Site

This chapter describes the narratives experienced by two specific groups of students as they participated in the various stages of the intervention, at the same field site.  As will emerge from the discussion, a comparison of these two groups not only affords a more holistic appreciation of how the various parts of the design served to complement each other, but also informs an understanding of how a learner’s operation within a ZPD can be mediated not only socially (as in classical Vygotskyian terms), but also spatially.
